Her artistic journey began in 2006 when she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts and a minor in Art History from Franklin Pierce University, setting the stage for her future endeavors. Committed to lifelong learning, Jen earned her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Photography from the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design in March 2025, graduating with a 4.0 GPA. At the core of her teaching philosophy is strengthening visual literacy, creating a nurturing space for creative expression, developing critical thinking skills, and advancing a deeper understanding of the world through arts education. Her ultimate mission is to inspire students to appreciate art’s transformative power.
Jen’s career in education exemplifies her dedication. After briefly stepping away to raise her family, she returned to teaching in 2016 at Quinebaug Middle College High School, where she passionately shares her knowledge across various mediums. She is an active member of professional organizations such as the National Art Educators Association and the Society of Photographic Education. Additionally, she is a proud member of Connecticut Women Artists, Inc. (CWA), founded in 1929, which is dedicated to supporting and celebrating women artists in Connecticut through networking, exhibitions, and educational opportunities. Lebanon, Connecticut, is where Jen calls home, drawing inspiration from New England’s simple yet profound beauty. She shares her life with her supportive partner and four wonderful children, who daily remind her of the world’s beauty—a world she continues to capture and interpret through her photographic artistry.
